Common Questions: How do I send flowers out of town?

by lowes on April 12, 2010

Another in our ongoing series of questions we have recieved via email, over the phone at the Lowe’s Floral Hotline (701)839-2000, or in person at our store is about sending flowers out of town. Of course we deliver fresh flowers to Minot, Surrey, Burlington, Minot Air Force Base (MAFB), Sawyer and Velva, but we can also send flowers to any other city in North Dakota or world wide!

Here’s how the process works: the customer calls us or comes into the store and gives us all the information for the order, including the name and address of the recipient, the card message, and the recipient’s phone number. Then we help the customer pick out flowers either out of a “selection guide” (picture book of flowers) or with general terms like “a springy arrangement in a vase.” We then select a florist out of one of our partner networks like FTD or Teleflora who will create and deliver the floral arrangement in the destination city. There is a nominal relay charge for this service.

The advantage to always using a profession local florist like Lowe’s Floral is that we speak the language of flowers. We will work with you to get a sense of the style, color and content that you wish to send and then work with a partner florist to make sure that happens. It’s precisely this kind of personal customer service you won’t get from some “800” number fake florist. Best of all, your flowers WILL NOT arrive in a cardboard box leaving the recipient to do all the work of arranging them! We can help you send flowers world wide in person at our store, on the phone, or you can shop online at our website!
